Poop Etiquette

As Larry David stated in a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode: “The dog without the bag: it’s incomplete. It’s like a marriage.”

This is true. Don’t forget the bag. Get one of those bag holders that attach to the leash. Wild One Pet Supplies makes very nice ones of hard rubberized plastic that are much nicer than the cheap give-away ones you might receive in the swag bag from a dog-friendly hotel.

Fortunately it doesn’t happen often, but every now and then someone approaches me in desperation for a spare bag. Of course I will give them one as they are at least trying to not commit the crime (it’s a $319 fine in San Francisco, and probably much more likely to be enforced than if a person pooped on the sidewalk).

I would bet $100 every time that these people who forget the bag have not left their phone at home. So just make it the same habit.
