Sniffing

Let your dog sniff all the smells they want. That is their social media. Do you go a day without Facebook, IG, X..? This is how dogs get all their information about the neighborhood and current events.

Misa is deaf, so I’m certain she compensates with even more smell superpowers than an average dogs 10k superior sense of smell. So she can turn a ten minute walk into an hour easily. But that’s what she wants to do: her walk, her time.

I was once ridiculed by a homeless man for letting my dog sniff everything. He said when he had a dog he “didn’t let it sniff sh*t!”. So I did interrupt her sniffing to cross the street and get away from this man. Homeless rarely expound good life advice.

So let your dog sniff away. There is probably some Kardashian-like dog gossip going around your neighborhood and your dog needs to stay informed.
